Hasbrouck House Wedding in the Hudson Valley: Romantic, Cloudy Spring Day
ALLIE + HARRIS
We started the morning at The Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, NY, amidst slug-bellied clouds and a low-hanging mist that seemed to whisper secrets of the day ahead. Despite the rain's indecision, a sense of hope mingled with the sweet aroma of spring, creating an almost magical atmosphere. The diligent staff at Hasbrouck House, an exquisite example of a Luxury NY Wedding Venue, was busy ensuring everything remained dry and orderly, a testament to their commitment to perfection.
In the cozy corners of the Hasbrouck House, Allie's bridesmaids, with eyes glued to the windows, kept an optimistic lookout. Allie, ever the embodiment of calm and cool, allowed the morning to unfold at its own pace, exemplifying the calm before the delightful storm of the day's events.
As Allie slipped into her stunning gown, a masterpiece sourced from Saks Fifth Ave., the rain seemed to make a decision. In a dramatic turn of events, it hitch-hiked south, leaving behind a canvas perfect for what was to unfold.
Getting Ready at Hasbrouck House
As the morning sun played hide and seek with the clouds, Hasbrouck House's charm was in full swing. The historical elegance of this venue, complemented by modern luxuries, set the perfect stage for getting ready. Each room buzzed with excitement, a symphony of laughter and chatter, as Britt Digi worked her magic with hair and makeup, turning every moment into a portrait of elegance and grace.
The First Look at The Hasbrouck House
The first look is always a heart-tugging moment, and in the case of Allie and Harris, it was no exception. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Hasbrouck House's lush gardens, their first look was a sweet interlude before the day's festivities. It was a private moment filled with smiles and tender whispers, a perfect prelude to the promise of forever.
Friends and Family Photos
It is always my goal to keep Wedding Party and Family Photos efficient, well thought out ahead of time, and light and fun. This should NOT be the most stressful part of the day. I never ever use the words "fake" or "pretend" and all the chaos and emotion you see are real! Always. I find that all of my Red Maple couples really suit my vibe and style- I adore all of them!
We took to the manicured grounds of this luxury New York wedding venue, where every corner offered a perfect snapshot of joy. The laughter, the hugs, and the occasional photobomb by the youngest fur baby added a natural ease to these cherished keepsakes.
The Ketubah Signing
Upon arriving at Red Maple Vineyard, a quintessential Upstate New York Vineyard Wedding Venue, we were greeted by an explosion of spring. The vibrant greenery and blooms seemed to dance a jitterbug to welcome us in . The Ketubah signing, an intimate and significant tradition, was held upstairs in the Barn in one of my favorite rooms with gorgeous stained glass windows, surrounded by the closest of family and friends. It was a moment of solemn promises, enveloped in the warm embrace of those who mattered most.
The Outdoor Ceremony on Deer Ridge
The ceremony at Deer Ridge was a sight to behold. Overlooking the Hudson Valley, with the Hudson River a glimmering ribbon in the distance, it was a view that could steal one's breath away. Allie, radiant and beaming, commanded the space with her joyous presence. As she walked down the aisle, there was a collective sense of awe - a moment suspended in the beauty and emotion of the day. There was so much love and joy all day that you could almost feel it in the air.
Red Maple Vineyard Wedding Portraits: Capturing that Just Married Energy
The emotion after the ceremony was so palpable. There were moments when I had to trust my focus because I was tearing up at all the love. These are the moments that I love standing back and documenting for my couples because they end up being such a blur by the end of the night.
Post-ceremony, as a newly married couple, Allie and Harris's portraits were a celebration of their union. The lush backdrop of Red Maple Vineyard, with its rolling hills and vine-laden landscapes, provided a romantic setting. Each photograph was a testament to their love - candid, genuine, and brimming with happiness. I love taking time out right after the ceremony to capture the "Just Married" energy. I try to keep these post -ceremony shoots to 10 minutes or less so that my couples can join the majority of their Cocktail Hour. I WANT you to be AT your party as much as you do!
The Upstate New York Wedding Reception in the Luxury Tent
The reception, held in the luxurious tent at Red Maple Vineyard, was an affair to remember. The Groove Shop set the tone with their lively beats, creating an ambiance that was both electric and intimate. The dance floor was never empty, a testament to their irresistible rhythms and melodies. Allie + Harris wanted people dancing while they waited for the couple to be introduced and I loved this idea! When they came into the room the energy was enormous because everyone was already in the party mood. They spent the “First Dance” dancing with all of their guests and it was such a great choice!
The floral designs by Faye and Rene were a visual feast, transforming the space into a blooming paradise. Their craftsmanship was particularly evident in the stunning backdrop for the sweetheart table, a masterpiece of flowers and foliage that seemed to have leapt straight out of a fairy tale.
As the evening unfolded, the tent, lit by a constellation of fairy lights, seemed to twinkle against the night sky. Each table, adorned with elegant centerpieces and fine details, reflected the luxury and charm that Red Maple Vineyard, a premier Luxury NY Wedding Venue, is renowned for. It was a perfect blend of sophistication and warmth, making every guest feel like a part of Allie and Harris's story.
