The Ultimate Guide to choosing a Red Maple Vineyard Wedding
The Best Upstate New York Luxury Wedding Venue
Congratulations on your engagement! I know that searching for a wedding venue is a lot of work and it’s really hard to find good information out there. So this is the first of a series where I’ll be highlighting some of the Hudson Valley’s best Wedding Venues. First up is Red Maple Vineyard in West Park, NY- the heart of the Hudson Valley.
Red Maple Vineyard Wedding Venue – A Hudson Valley Gem
Unique features and amenities offered by Red Maple Vineyard
Tucked into the Hudson Valley, Red Maple Vineyard offers everything you could want in a wedding venue. Rolling vineyards, the Hudson River stretching out in the distance, lush gardens bursting with color, and some of the most breathtaking sunsets you’ll ever see. But beyond the beauty, what makes this place so special is the way it feels. Warm. Welcoming. Like it was meant for you.
Some places just feel right the moment you step onto the grounds. Red Maple Vineyard is one of those rare venues where history, nature, and celebration come together effortlessly. It’s timeless yet modern, grand yet intimate, and full of the kind of magic that makes a wedding day unforgettable.
I’ve been documenting weddings here since the very beginning, and let me just say—it never gets old. In fact, it’s one of my top three wedding venues of all time. If you’re dreaming of a place that feels elegant without being stuffy, polished but still deeply personal, Red Maple Vineyard is it.
As the sun starts to dip, Cocktail Hour at Red Maple Vineyard turns into an experience. Their on-site vegetable and flower gardens aren’t just for show—they’re harvested for your wedding menu, adding fresh, local ingredients straight to your plates. And if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of Max and Bennie—the venue’s resident horses—escorting the bride’s transportation up the hill.
A Venue that feels like it’s what you’ve been looking for.
For couples who want both nature and refined elegance, Red Maple delivers. The ceremony site at Deer Ridge sits at the top of a quiet hill, where guests are greeted with iced tea and lemonade as they settle into the shade of two perfectly placed trees. It’s intimate, serene, and effortlessly romantic. And if the Hudson Valley skies decide to stir up some drama? The indoor ceremony space is just as stunning.
The service at Red Maple is unmatched. They’ve had the same Head Chef for over 30 years, there are couples and entire families who work together here! Their staff doesn’t look like a bunch of hungover teenagers in wrinkled shirts just there to make a paycheck. And I think that really matters and contributes to the overall elevated vibe at Red Maple.
The Perfect Blend of Rustic and Modern for Your Reception
When it’s time to celebrate, the Reception Pavilion is where the magic happens. With floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, the outside world stays present, even as the party kicks into high gear. There’s something about dancing under twinkling lights while still feeling connected to nature that just makes it all feel more real.
And the food? Unbelievable.
Their Day-of Leader ensures everything runs smoothly, so you’re free to soak up every moment without worrying about a thing. Vendors are managed, timelines are handled, and you? You get to be fully present in one of the most important days of your life.
I never worry about timelines going off the rails, guest being upset or the wine running out when I’m at Red Maple!
A Team That Feels Like Family
A venue can be beautiful, but what makes or breaks an experience is the team behind it. The staff at Red Maple Vineyard isn’t just good—they’re some of the best.
I’ve spent over a decade documenting weddings here, and I can tell you firsthand that Aimee, Bailey, Michelle, Liz, and even the owner, Gary, care deeply about every single couple that walks through their doors. They don’t just plan weddings—they create experiences. They make sure you feel supported, heard, and taken care of from the moment you inquire to the very last dance of the night.
Red Maple Vineyard offers a variety of menu options to suit every palate and dietary preference. From elegant plated dinners to interactive food stations during Cocktail Hour, their culinary team will work with you to create a menu that is tailored to your specific tastes and preferences. You may also choose to have Chef bake your wedding cake and adorn it with flowers from your florist. Using eggs from the chickens on site, it’s the best cake around!
I love how many different options I’ve seen at Cocktail Hour from Raw Bars to Taco Stations (swoon) to Fresh Made Pasta and Pizzas cooked right in front of you. They also have a fun beer canoe for self serve beers- no waiting in line at the bar!
For late night After Parties they’ll even make you Sliders and Fries or other yummy late night cravings.
Exquisite culinary experiences and menu options
If someone tells you that no one remembers the food at weddings, they’re going to the wrong weddings. One of the highlights of any wedding can be the food when it’s done right, and Red Maple Vineyard takes pride in offering exquisite culinary experiences that will delight your taste buds.
The award-winning chefs at Red Maple Vineyard are passionate about creating culinary masterpieces that not only taste incredible but also reflect the seasonality and local flavors of the Hudson Valley. They source the freshest ingredients from their on-site gardens and local area farms, ensuring that every dish is of the highest quality. Their Victory Garden is something to behold when it’s in full season. They also house around 100 chickens for the freshest eggs to bake your cake with and even have pigs on the back side of the property to feed the kitchen scraps too. They really take full sustainability seriously and it shows.

I have been shooting there for over ten years and I know I have a few spots that no one else knows about! (shhhhhh!)
5. Hire a Seasoned Photographer with a style you love:
With so many incredible choices of photographers, it’s important to want to see yourself in their images. They are showing you their style by the pictures they share. Ask to go through full day client wedding galleries to make sure you like how they document a full wedding, not just the Portfolio shots. 6. Ask for Vendor Recommendations
The best folks to ask for Vendor Recommendations are other Wedding Vendors.
