GLYNWOOD FARM WEDDING: A Unique Cold Spring Wedding Venue in NY

THE MOST BREATHTAKING FOREST WEDDING VENUE IN COLD SPRING NY

City Sophistication Meets Country Charm at Glynwood Farm

Romantic Cold Spring Wedding Vibes with a View

Some weddings stay with you. Crysta and Andrew’s Glynwood Farm wedding is one of them. This couple brought their NYC sophistication to the rustic beauty of Glynwood Farm, blending city chic with forest wedding vibes in the best way.

Their engagement session gave us a glimpse—casual strolls through their neighborhood, laid-back, intimate, and full of love. And their wedding?

It felt like stepping into a romantic film, framed by the rolling hills and ivy-covered walls of Glynwood Farms in Cold Spring NY.

As a New York wedding photographer, I’ve captured countless love stories, but there was something magical about this one—dramatic skies, the perfect breeze, and a backdrop that stole the show. The clouds played along too—no rain, just mood and magic.

Getting Ready in the Iconic Glynwood Mansion

Historic Charm, Natural Light, and Beautiful Moments

Glynwood’s mansion offers something rare—rich textures, warm light, and stories hidden in the walls. Crysta’s morning started quietly surrounded by friends and family while Studio One worked their magic with loose curls so perfect they held through the night. Her look was perfect- natural yet elevated. Her dress from Sarah Seven was absolutely stunning. It was elegant and timeless and was exactly what I pictured Crysta picking out!

Meanwhile, Andrew got ready in the downstairs Library with a classic black tux by The Black Tux, surrounded by his crew. There was definitely

some Scotch drinking too! The mansion’s wood-paneled rooms and huge windows created an incredible backdrop for my storytelling. I was able to use the light and the architecture in so many creative ways. I crave black-and-white shots in places like this—the light and mood just call for it!

Before the First Look, they exchanged handwritten letters—one my favorite traditions. There’s something so powerful about reading your person’s words right before you see them. It’s like a big hug before the whirlwind of the next few hours.

First Look: Ivy Walls and Storybook Stairs

First looks are my favorite when they’re genuine and unforced—just two people who can’t wait to see each other. No expectations. No performances. Crysta and Andrew’s first look was exactly that. Crysta descended the storybook staircase at Glynwood, her Sarah Seven dress flowing behind her, every step leading to Andrew who was waiting in a quiet, ivy-draped nook.

The moment he turned around? Tears. Laughter. Hugs. And yeah, I might have teared up too.

Unscripted, Real and Casual

Glynwood Farm’s stone walls covered in ivy, the lush gardens, and the soft afternoon light made it feel like a scene straight out of a movie. Honestly, this spot is a photographer’s dream.

And that’s the thing about Glynwood weddings—you don’t have to force anything. The beauty is everywhere. The magic is already there; you just need to show up and be yourselves.

Outdoor Ceremony in the Round

Laid-Back Vibes with a View that Stuns

The perfect weather, a soft breeze, and clouds with just the right amount of drama made the whole scene feel surreal.

As they exchanged vows, I did what I always do—I stepped back. Letting them have their moment. I also snuck away to the roof deck for a shot that captured the entire ceremony from above. Totally worth it. This is what makes Glynwood weddings so unforgettable—views, intimacy, and a little adventure.

The ceremony spot at Glynwood Farm is unreal. A round ceremony layout surrounded by gardens and views of the mountain where Crysta said “yes” to Andrew after he proposed. No over-the-top decorations needed—just nature doing its thing and a couple deeply in love.

Jeanne from HV Ceremonies nailed every detail. And when Crysta and Andrew stood in the middle of their circle of friends and family, the air shifted.

Cocktail Hour with Rolling Hills and Live Music

Good Drinks, Great Company, and Views for Days

Cocktail hour at Glynwood Farm? Unmatched. The back lawn, framed by rolling hills and lush gardens, becomes a gathering place. Live music by The Broadway Project set the tone, while guests enjoyed signature cocktails and perfect bites.

Because they did a First Look, they were able to enjoy their Cocktail Hour! It

wasn’t rushed. It was natural. Easy. Effortless. The kind of vibe that makes everyone forget about timelines and just enjoy the moment.

Exactly how cocktail hour should be. Being AT your party and not taking Family Photos when you really just want to get a drink and see your friends!!

Sail Cloth Tent Reception Under the Stars

Warm Lights, Cozy Conversations, and Dancing All Night

They said rain was a possibility, so Crysta and Andrew chose a sail cloth tent—and it was stunning. If you’re going to have a tent, this is the kind you want! Bistro lights twinkled above, candles flickered on the tables, and Barn Flora’s floral designs—blush tones with soft greenery—brought everything together.

Rhinecliff Event Catering was there on site and Bella Sofia Sugar Crafts created a cake that was almost too beautiful to eat (almost).

The tent glowed as night fell and created a warm, cozy space where dinner was alive with conversations and laughter.

Golden Hour Hilltop Moments

Light That Stops You in Your Tracks

I’m obsessed with all light but especially golden light. I love the way it wraps around everything, softens edges, and makes moments glow.

Right before the dance party kicked off, I pulled Crysta and Andrew outside for a breath and a moment. We wandered up a hill with a view of Bear Mountain, the place where it all began for them. The clouds were putting on a show, dramatic and perfect.

They danced, snuggled, reflected and took a moment to breathe it all in. A needed reset before the party.

This is why I love my couples. They don’t rely on me to tell them what to do or how to feel. They can just be together embraced in real moments, beautiful light, and genuine connection.

Epic Dance Party to Close the Night

Sequins, Beats, and a Party to Remember

The Broadway Project by The Band Method brought serious energy. The dance floor lit up as Crysta surprised everyone with a second dress, sparking cheers and wild moves.

Blue hour descended, and I stepped outside to capture the glowing tent against the deep, moody sky. It was breathtaking.

This is why Glynwood Farm weddings are unbeatable—nature, history, and epic parties all wrapped in one.
