FEELINGS: I've been putting off writing this review because I knew I'd get emotional writing it. There are not enough good things I can say about Sam. She is SO MUCH MORE than just a photographer. From my very first Skype call, Sam made me feel completely comfortable. She just has a way about her that makes you feel like everything is going to be okay no matter what. She worked with us to create a schedule that took advantage of every minute of her time so we could get as many photos as possible. She is so chill and down to earth, she got along with everyone, and she was actually fun to have around all day. She even danced with us and our friends on the dance floor at the end of the night. We just received our preview photos this week, and I was floored by the photos Sam was able to capture. She works with the natural light and captures the beauty in every moment. She isn't about posed photos, but instead finds real emotion. I can't imagine what our wedding day would have been without her.

VENUE: THE ROUNDHOUSE

LOCATION: BEACON, NY

LOCATION: CATSKILLS NEW YORK

FEELINGS: From the moment I saw Sam’s photos I knew I needed to work with her. After our first call, I was even more excited. She is extremely personable, funny, and makes you feel like you’re old friends which is an amazing gift. Our wedding day was flawless and she played a HUGE part in that, lending her knowledge to our timeline and using her impeccable eye to determine where we would be photographed. It was a blast having her a part of the “getting ready” experience, and I quite honestly forgot she was even photographing us. Our family and friends could not stop talking about how cool she is and how she fit right in. I immediately trusted her to direct us anywhere (inside a hungry sheep pen even!) and I am so glad I did. Our photos are STUNNING. There are so many incredible shots it’s almost overwhelming to figure out how to properly honor each one.

Sam has an amazing eye for light and works with her surroundings as opposed to trying to make them something they’re not. Our photos are works of art and I’m trying to come up with more reasons to work with her !

VENUE: SEVEN PONDS FARM

LOCATION: CATSKILLS, NEW YORK

FEELINGS: So I don't know if its better to start alphabetically or chronologically with why Sam is the absolute greatest. Holding onto the memories of what is one of the biggest days of your life is really up to the quality of the photographer you hire. The person needs to be able to capture intimate moments of you, your friends, your family, to fully encapsulate what it meant to be at your wedding. Sam I am convinced is the absolute best person for this. We did both our engagement photos and our wedding with her and we immediately felt right at home. She has this way of very quickly understanding the energy and vibe of the couple, and then amplifying that to capture these natural, wonderful moments between us. All of the family and bridal party portraits were an absolute hilarious part of the day, all because of Sam. We actually found her work before we had any other vendor picked out and we knew from that point that no matter the scene, she would be the choice to make it all work perfectly. Huge thank you to Sam.

VENUE: THE HISTORIC BARNS OF NIPMOOSE

LOCATION: BERKSHIRES, MASSACHUSETTS

FEELINGS: Where do I even start? I cannot say enough good things about Samantha, and before anyone continues with reading my review, go ahead and set up an appointment to meet with her (and then book her!!). My fiancé and I just finished taking our connection session photos with her and our hearts are literally bursting with love and appreciation for her and her work. When my fiancé and I were first looking for our wedding photographer we knew we wanted someone with a totally different look. Someone that was capturing real moments, someone who was creative, someone who was not just doing a job, but was sharing in the moment with you. After our first meeting with Samantha we knew she was the perfect fit. She is warm, kind, energetic, and clearly seriously cares about making you feel comfortable. Her eye for light and for capturing beautiful moments is something I’ve never seen before, especially in wedding photography. We booked our connection session shortly after meeting with her and every interaction leading up to the connection session was filled with excitement and kindness. My fiancé can be very anxious and nervous, and Samantha put him completely at ease from the start. Every smile, every laugh, every look was REAL and genuine and heartfelt. She doesn’t tell you to pose or where to look in a non-natural way, instead she has you whisper to your partner little things that will elicit genuine smiles and laughs, she makes little suggestions that bring you closer to your partner. I JUST CAN’T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS. You’re going to want Samantha to share your special day with you, and you’re going to want her to capture all the moments you would never even think of. With all that being said, book her!!! I am now just counting down the days to our wedding and to the magic she’ll create that day!

VENUE: POET’S WALK PARK

LOCATION: RED HOOK, NEW YORK

FEELINGS: We looked for a wedding photographer for a very long time. We knew we didn’t want a bunch of posed pictures that tend to look awkward and … well, posed. We wanted someone who could document the magic and love of this day in a real and artistic way, and we hit the absolute jackpot with Sam. We never felt weird or awkward while taking pictures, there was never the moment of “what do I do with my hands” that anyone who’s had their picture taken ever knows all too well. We just had a blast and goofed around and Sam turned that into absolute gold. We’ve been going through our pictures for about a month now still trying to pare them down (every last one of them is truly stunning) and everytime I look through them I get to relive the day all over again in the most beautiful way. Sam perfectly captured the beauty, silliness, joy, and love in a way that truly jumps out of the pictures she takes. To top it off, she's just about the raddest person to ever live, and you will have the absolute best time with her. And then she will gift you the most gorgeous pictures you could have imagined. Hire her.

FEELINGS: Don't even hesitate to reach out and book, Sam is INCREDIBLE. I knew from the first time I saw Sam's work that I wanted her to be our photographer and I knew from our first conversation that she was the one. She is so cool and easy to work with and made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera. All of our photos perfectly captured our family and friends as if they were memories themselves - completely real and stunning. We feel so lucky to have our wedding captured so perfectly. In addition to how amazing our photos came out and how much we loved working with Sam, I've gotten countless compliments from our guests about how much they loved Sam. Thank you Sam, we adore you!!

FEELINGS: If you want stunning wedding photos capturing gorgeous authentic moments and to feel like your best friend took them, Samantha June is who you want to hire. My husband and I were drawn to her work because it was so unique; every photo looked like a movie still or a painting and she was able to capture so much emotion in her photos. We didn’t want anything super posed or staged and Sam delivered tenfold! She is also professional, efficient, and warm and does so much more than take beautiful photos. She graciously maneuvered through divorced family dynamics and toddler meltdowns during family photos and made everyone feel so at ease and taught me how to handle the long train of my dress like a pro. You just feel like she’s got you and you can trust her. She felt like part of the family even though we had just met her. And we absolutely LOVE our wedding photos. We can’t recommend her enough!

VENUE: SARATOGA MANSION INN

LOCATION: SARATOGA SPRINGS, NEW YORK

FEELINGS: Working with Sam was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. As soon as we spoke, I knew she was a perfect match for us. Not only is she incredibly talented (but that's obvious, I mean look at her photos), but Sam is a gem of a human and was an absolute joy to work with. She was able to magically capture every single special moment, all while keeping me calm and being my biggest hype girl (at both the connection session and wedding). I really never knew how big of a role a photographer plays in a wedding and having her by my side throughout the day made everything better. I truly can't wait for my next big life event so I can hang out with... I mean, hire Sam to photograph again.

FEELINGS: I don’t know where to begin writing this review, because Sam was everything we dreamed for our wedding photographer and so much more!!! For starters, Sam’s work is so unique and breathtakingly beautiful. When my husband and I first saw her website we immediately knew we wanted her to capture our day. Even knowing the quality of her work we were blown away by the teaser photos we received! But hiring Sam ended up being the best decision we made for our wedding for even more reasons. She helped keep us on schedule the whole day and help communicate with other vendors and, more importantly, was a true beacon of fun, kindness, and joy. She made us and our family laugh, she danced with our friends on the dance floor, and she immediately put me and my husband at ease. By the time we had to say goodbye it felt like we had spent the day with a (talented and well-organized) friend. Thank you Sam for helping make our day even more special!
